Newly invited Super Falcons player and West Virginia University striker Nicole Payne Oyeyemisi has revealed that the level of competition within the Super Falcons camp is highly competitive as she looks forward to impressing and lay claim to a permanent shirt in the team if handed her debut by the coach, Randy Waldrum against Jamaica.
The striker who is an ex US national U17 striker posited that she was very excited getting her first invite to the female national team of Nigeria and confessed their is a stiff competition for places in the team.
“I was very excited to get the call up to the Super Falcons, it is blessing to play and compete with the players here”.
“I never thought I would get a call up this soon but again it’s a blessing to be here, to be able to play with my Sister and compete with a lot of players here”.
Nicole Payne rates the Super Falcons as one of the best teams in the world and best in Africa and says she was elated on having the opportunity to alongside her sister and others while she also indicated that the competition in the team is very high as the speed of play is very high.
“Having trained with the girls this morning, it was great, a very Competitive environment and it was a very high speed of play, so it was very good to be able to get to know the ladies and be able to play with everyone and prepare for these games”.
Oyeyemisi looks forward to contributing her quota to the success of the team in the tourney and hopes to have a longer stay with the team.

On the forthcoming game against Jamaica if fielded.
“I am going to go out there to try my best and represent the country, she concluded’.
Nigeria will be playing Jamaica on Thursday in the opening game of the United States of America’s Summer series, a four nation tournament which also includes host nation USA and Portugal women teams.
