Okumagba Tasks NFF on Adequate Preparations for World Cup Playoffs

Calls on NSC support for supporters club

Chairman Interim Management Committee, Nigeria Football and other Sports Supporters Group NFSSG Prince Vincent Okumagba has tasks the Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau led Nigeria Football Federation on adequate Preparations for next month’s world cup playoffs taking place in Morocco and calls on the National Sports Commission NSC to support the club.

The IMC Chairman fielding questions from journalists in his office earlier today emphasize on adequate Preparations for the playoffs knowing how important and crucial it is to our featuring in the Intercontinental playoffs in Mexico next year.

Okumagba says early preparations is the key to having a successful outing at the playoffs, therefore, no stone should be left unturned to achieve that.

Furthermore, he said the Super Eagles stand a good chance of winning the CAF playoffs in Morocco but stress that all hands must be on deck as it won’t be a stroll in the pack against other teams in the playoffs.

Prince Vincent Okumagba also appeal to the leadership of National Sports Commission headed by Mallam Shehu Dikko to capture the supporters club in their preparations for the trip to Morocco next month for the playoffs. He stated that it has not been easy for the club conveying members to and fro match venues due to lack of sponsors and funds. Stating further, he said the club have been sourcing and generating funds internally to provide for transport (to and fro), accommodation, and other miscellaneous spending and this is no doubt having a great adverse effects on members, the reason he’s calling in the NSC leadership to come to their aid for support.

Prince Okumagba who doubles as Vice President African Football Association appeal to every Nigerians both at home and in diaspora to continue to support the Super Eagles and other tiers of the national teams and reiterate as well, the club’s commitment to supporting Nigerian sports.

Nigeria will face the Panthers of Gabon on November 13 in the CAF world cup playoffs and a win against Gabon will pair the team against the winner between Cameroon and DRC Congo in the final on November 16 to determine who gets the nod to represent Africa in the Intercontinental playoffs in Mexico in March next year. Only two tickets is available in the Intercontinental playoffs.
