President, Super Eagles Supporters club, SESC and Chairman, Interim Management Committee, IMC of Nigeria Football and other Sports Supporters Group, NFSSG Prince Vincent Okumagba says the club plans to have thousands of supporters to support the Super Eagles in Morocco in the world cup playoffs.

Prince Okumagba stated this in the early hours of today when answering questions from this writer about the plans for the CAF world cup playoffs next month and he said plans are in top gear to mobilise the Morocco chapter of the club and other Nigerians within Rabat and Casablanca for Super Eagles.

“We have a chapter in Morocco and the plan is to mobilise the chapter and other Nigerians living in Rabat and Casablanca to join up with members traveling from Nigeria to cheer our team (Super Eagles) to victory against Gabon when the Playoffs gets underway next month”.

“This is the chance and opportunity we have to make the world cup but we have to first of all win the CAF playoffs before proceeding to the Intercontinental playoffs in Mexico next year to fight for one of the available two tickets, so, as supporters we are not going to relent in our efforts or handle it with levity”.

Continuing further, the IMC Chairman said they have a huge role to play and therefore cannot toy with preparations for the trip. He said logistics are in top shape and members are set and ready to make their presence felt in Morocco when Nigeria lock horns with Gabon for a spot in the final.

“We have a huge role to play to ensure Super Eagles fly past Gabon and play in the final of the playoff which by God’s grace we will win and represent Africa in Mexico next year”.

The club has been the face of football in Nigeria and beyond in terms of supporting national teams with their constant appearance at match venues and endless trips across the country drumming, singing, and entertaining fans and administrators with their sonorous renditions and dance steps which propels the teams to put smiles on the faces of soccer loving Nigerians both at home and in diaspora.

Nigeria, Gabon Cameroon and DRC Congo will compete in the CAF world cup playoffs in Morocco from 13-16 next month (November). Nigeria will face Gabon in the first semi final on the 13th before facing the winner between Cameroon and DRC Congo in the second semi final in the grande finale on the 16th if they beat Gabon. The winner of the CAF playoffs will represent Africa at the intercontinental playoffs in March next year in Mexico to determine the two teams to fill up the two remaining world cup slots.

Prince Vincent Okumagba who doubles as Vice President African Football Supporters Associations assured the Super Eagles that his members will be in the stands as their twelfth players to continue from where they stopped in Uyo against Benin Republic in the last game of the FIFA 2026 world cup qualifiers.
