2026 FIFA WC PLAYOFFS: Alawode Tasks Super Eagles To Go for Victory Against Gabon

Band Leader and Coordinator, Super Eagles Supporters Club, SESC Mr Sunday Alawode Ademola has call on Nigeria’s senior men national team the Super Eagles to go victory against the Gabonese national team the Panthers when they tackle each other in next week’s world cup playoffs in Morocco.

Alawode made this call when fielding questions from journalists a couple of minutes ago at an event in Ikorodu suburb of Lagos. He said the Super Eagles journey to the FIFA world cup in America next year is just starting and the game against Panthers of Gabon is their first game therefore, they have to go for victory and nothing but victory.

“I believe our world cup journey is just starting while the game against Gabon is our first game, so, Super Eagles winning the game is non negotiable. Every Nigerians expect nothing but victory from the team considering the plethora of stars in their rank”.

“My level of confidence is high and I have never for a bit express fear about the ability of our boys. I’d advise the coach to go for the best legs to prosecute the playoffs and with good preparations and commitment Nigeria will surely emerge winners”.

Alawode concludes by calling on avid football loving Nigerians from administrators, stakeholders, fans both at home and diaspora to support the team as they are ready to shoot Nigeria to the grandest stage of football the FIFA world cup next year in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Nigeria and Gabon will slug it out in the first semi final of the playoffs next week while Cameroon and Congo DR will face off in the second semi final to determine the two teams to play in the final on Sunday 16 of this month in Rabbat, Morocco.
